October is Breast Cancer awareness month and Small Business month. As many of you know my wife Carolyn is a breast cancer survivor. This is the most common cancer found in women globally. Speaking from experience, we encourage regular screenings for early detection.
Regarding “small businesses”, in my opinion we are all business owners to some extent. You have hired our firm to act as the Chief Financial Officer of your family’s savings and investments. We also realize it’s not just about the numbers. We are also here to act as strategic partners and are always available to serve as a financial planning resource.
I love this time of year and October is one of my favorite months. I’m celebrating my birthday this month so it’s always a time of reflection. I’m not going to say how old I am, but Carolyn and I just celebrated our 39th year together so it’s adding up!
My whole family recently got together for the weekend. This is a rare occasion. As our young men are getting older, more independent, and living their own lives far from us, our schedules don’t seem to align too often. We were able to enjoy a beautiful Fall day mountain biking together. Initially there was a lot of moaning and groaning (from the “kids”), but it was a great time. I’m including some pictures so you can see how much they have grown because many of you knew them when they were youngsters.
As the weather gets colder, please remember that we have a warm office and hot coffee. We encourage you to stop in to share stories and pictures of your family with us! Thank you for your business and trust you’ve placed with our firm.
Cheers,
C.A.B
