I’m having a birthday this month. It is not a “milestone” birthday, but still a chance to reflect on life. I very much appreciate all my clients and I am thankful for the trust you have placed in our firm. I’m equally grateful for the personal relationships that I have developed with each of you over the years.
During our strategy meetings I ask for an update on your family and your health prior to discussing the “financials”. Often, I have the tables turned on me when you ask about what’s happening with my family. That is only fair because my children have essentially grown up before your eyes. So, here’s an update on “the boys” (men)!
Christopher graduated from the University of Vermont with a Math degree. He is living in Burlington VT and working at TD Bank. Devin is also living in Burlington and is a videographer. He is busy with his freelance work and will provide the primary marketing content for Sugarbush Mountain this Winter. Hunter decided to transfer from Hand High School in Madison and is now enrolled at Gould Academy in Bethel, Maine. Gould has great academics and a nationally ranked snowboard competition program. Hunter is currently ranked 4th in Slalom, 5th in Giant Slalom, and 12th in Boardercross nationally. He will compete in his first World Cup races next month.
Lastly, and most important, is my better half of 30 years. I am so happy to report that Carolyn is cancer free for 3 years. We are now “empty nesters” who are also representative of the “sandwich generation” as we care of Carolyn’s Mom. Most of all we can be “labeled” as thankful and appreciative.
I’m including pictures and hope to see some of your family as well. Please send them along. See you soon and please contact us if you have any questions.
